Exercises For Cellulite
What Are The Best Exercises For Cellulite Elimination?
Cellulite is essentially small collections or pockets of body fat stored subcutaneously on the body. Therefore any treatment or exercises for cellulite must attack the problem in an effective and time efficient manner.
There are a few extra measures will have a beneficial effect on the problem and we'll discuss these after we've looked at the best exercises for cellulite reduction.
Get Active
First and foremost we have to be active, generally more active. So try to walk around during work, at home, before work, in the evenings. Try to structure some less formal types of exercise in to your day. So if possible, walk the kids to school, if already do this walk a little further. If you have any hills or inclines you can walk up these are ideal as they work the muscles harder and demand a greater supply of oxygenated blood to the area.
Any walking is good to help rid the body of cellulite and even though you can't spot reduce fat or cellulite from certain areas, the working muscles will demand a greater blood supply. This increased blood supply will help to remove toxins and other waste products out of the cells of the thighs, buttocks and calves.
One of the best exercises for cellulite reduction is running or jogging to begin with. Running again focuses on the legs and buttocks and will help to increase capillary action to the working muscles, which again improves blood supply to the problem areas.
If you do decide to start running, you need to make sure you are both fit enough to run and have no injury problems. If you aren't sure or over the age of 50 it's probably best to go to see your doctor or a registered physiotherapist to get checked out.
However any aerobic movements such as swimming, rowing cycling etc are all good exercises for cellulite reduction.
Another avenue you should consider going down is weight or resistance training. This is where you perform a number of specific movements using a resistance of some kind, usually machines or dumbbells in an attempt to tone and strengthen the muscles. This again has the same effect of burning calories thereby reducing overall fat levels and also improving circulation and blood flow to the area.
Some exercises for cellulite that you can do at home include squats, lunges, stair climbing or calf raises to name a few.
As with all things to do with weight loss, you need to be patient and consistent. Don't expect that you'll look dramatically different in just a few days, you'll need to keep doing what you're doing for a few weeks to really see a difference.
Another factor that you need to consider is that of diet.
This is so important it needs mentioning. If you simply do the exercises mentioned but don't improve and modify your diet at the same time, then you are almost wasting your time.
A couple of other factors can be very influential if used in conjunction with a set of exercises for cellulite is...
Drink plenty of water
Consider a healthy detox diet and lastly massaging the area can help to break down the pockets of fat in to single fat cells.
So remember as well as doing your exercises for cellulite removal you do need to make other changes to lifestyle. But with these changes you should see a massive difference in the appearance and feel of your cellulite.
