Cellulite Removal Exercises
If you're suffering the blight of the orange peel skin otherwise known as cellulite, then you'll be keen to find out how you can eliminate it or at least improve its appearance.
So in this article we're going to discuss cellulite removal exercises.
First and foremost we need to increase blood flow to the affected areas and secondly we need to reduce the amount of fat we have stored on our bodies. Let's not forget that cellulite is body fat after all and we can burn fat off our bodies so we can certainly burn away cellulite too. So the first of the cellulite removal exercises we'll discuss here is walking
Walking
Hardly anyone I know does enough of this and when they do, they almost always see a big difference in not only their levels of body fat, fitness and appearance, but also in the way they feel, their energy levels and confidence.
The beauty of walking is it's free, you don't need any special equipment (so no excuses here for the evergreen 'going to do's' that might be reading this)
You can start the moment you leave your front door. It can be made harder by going faster, further or up hills or by using a range of different power walking techniques and above all else it works!
The next of our cellulite removal exercises is actually a group of exercises not just one - resistance training. This is basically performing movements against a resistance, usually hand weights or machines designed specifically for this purpose and the exercises we're going to focus on are lunges, squats, and squat jumps. Here's how to do these...
Lunges
Begin by standing up straight with your knees very slightly bent. You should either hold a weight, place your hands on your hips or just relax your arms at your sides. Try to keep the natural arch in your lower back and step forwards with one leg. Lunge all the way down until your back knee is about 1 inch from the floor and the front knee does not travel forwards in advance of the toes. At this point both knees should form approximately a 90 degree angle at the joints.
Next, generate the power from the front thigh to push yourself back up to the standing position. Repeat with the other leg, always returning to the start position after each repetition. Always remember to pull your tummy muscles in and keep your back straight, not leaning forwards or backwards.
Perform the desired number of repetitions. Change resistance by holding weights, increasing reps or stepping from or on to a step or platform.
Squats
Begin by standing straight with knees slightly bent, holding a weight or just your arms at your sides.
Whilst maintaining the natural arch in your back, bend from the hips and knees until your thighs are nearly parallel to the floor.
Slowly stand back up to the starting position. If this movement is difficult begin by holding on to the back of a chair or use a Swiss ball against a wall. Perform for the desired reps.
Change resistance by holding weights, increasing reps or slowing down the movement.
Jump Squats
Begin by standing straight with your knees slightly bent, placing your hands on your hips or on to your thighs, just above the knee joint. (Placing your hands on to the thighs like this helps to support the joints of the knees and the lower back)
Whilst maintaining the natural arch in your lower back, bend from the hips and knees until your thighs are nearly parallel to the floor. Then explosively and powerfully spring off the floor and into the air as high you can jump.
You can change the difficulty of the exercise by holding weights, increasing the repetitions or speeding up the movement.
These 3 exercises will help you to build strength and improve circulation to the hips bottom and thighs.
Lastly we need to do some slightly more challenging cellulite removal exercises to burn more fat and keep the metabolism revving away and for this we'll use swimming or running. Both use large muscle groups are repetitive in nature and will help to not only reduce cellulite, but also improve fitness, stamina and lower overall body fat levels.
Once you make some simple changes to the way you eat and drink, you'll be well on your way to getting rid of your cellulite
